There are two paths to Dispose (sometimes called Retire) assets. Both paths are outlined below. *Note* Disposal is a permission-based feature so you may not see it in your account. If you do not see the Disposal feature but believe you should have access, please reach out to your district administrator to request access.
Method 1:
1) Navigate to the List view of assets.
2) Select the checkbox next to any assets you would like to Dispose, then select “Dispose” from the dropdown above and click “Go”. **Note** Admin users will also see the option for “Delete” this is NOT the same as Disposal. “Delete” is only for assets that have been added by mistake, deleting an asset will erase all records of that asset. Records should be retained for Disposed/Retired assets, please only use “Dispose.”
3) The selected assets will appear in this box. You make click on the box and add additional assets by typing in their asset tag number as well.
4) Fill out all relevant disposal information fields and then click “Save”. You may wish to upload a document that will be saved to the record of all these assets as well, such as a PDF of Board approval or a copy of a police report for stolen assets.
Method 2:
1) On the left-side navigation menu, select the trashcan icon for “Disposal”.
2) Click in the Asset Tag Numbers box and type in the asset tag number for the asset(s) to be disposed.
3) Fill out all relevant disposal information fields and then click “Save”. You may wish to upload a document that will be saved to the record of all these assets as well, such as a PDF of Board approval or a copy of a police report for stolen assets.

3)The selected assets will appear in this box. You make click on the box and add additional assets by typing in their asset tag number as well. Fill out all relevant disposal information fields and then click “Save”.
