Checkout Asset

There are two paths to reach the Checkout Asset screen. Both paths are shown below.

Method 1:

1) Click on “Checkin/out” under the Devices menu on the left side navigation.

2) Enter Asset Tag Number into search bar (scan or manually enter) and then click the “Checkin/out” button.

3) Select if you would like to checkout the asset to a User (most common) or another asset (such as checking out chromebooks to a security cart), or to a Location (such as checking out iPads to a classroom).

4) Begin typing the Name, Username, Email, or ID Number of the user you would like to check the asset out to (ID Number can be entered via a barcode scanner connected to the computer). As you begin to type users will be auto-filled until you see the desired user, select the desired users. Or type in the Asset Tag Number or Location Name of the Asset or Location you are checking the asset out to.

If required, the status of the asset can be updated on this screen (uncommon). The Checkout Date will automatically be set as Today’s Date but can be edited to another date if required. An Expected Checkin Date can also be set. Notes can be added if desired.

Click the “Checkout” button.
